The realization is very important in this busy world that we all need a ‘me time’, but what is actually “me time”? When you are tangled between home chores ,college, office, kids, etc and you never get time for yourself. The time which can give you strength to dream, accomplish and above all the inner satisfaction. If you unfold ‘me time’ : You will find a bunch of happiness, and few twigs of satisfaction.

What makes ‘me time’?
This isn’t some formal gathering where you all suit up n sit. ‘Me time’ lies in hanging alone on your balcony with a piece of cake, having your cup of chaai beside window, listening to your favourite music, lighting some candles and reading your book, sitting in a park, buying yourself a good cup of coffee in a cafe, and even shopping by yourself.

How you take out the time?
It can be a weekend when you don’t have any pending assignments , or when your kids are off to school, or when they are at their friends’ and maybe, when everyone is asleep.
If someone at your home is busy, rather than being cranky about it and complaining that “no one has some time to spend it with me” , take it as the opportunity and go out for a walk to spend some quality time with your inner self. Reorder you brain and energise yourself , what was the last thing that you really wanted to do but you never got time? And there you go!
Shades of ‘ME time’ :
- Get a mani/pedi. Clear your head and relax. Get your toes, fingers moisturized and polished. If your budget doesn’t allow you to spend some money on it then you can do it on your own at home. Even if you say you dont have all tools and products. Then ladies, fill a tub with hot water n salt, n let your feet be relaxed :p.
- Cash your time when everyone’s asleep, make your favourite tea and think what is most relaxing task for you(from painting to organising things to staring at a blank wall ), it can be anything! Or maybe nothing at all, sitting like a couch potato and sipping tea can do wonders for you.

- Going out for grocery? Steal some time for yourself, grab something to eat, and watch people (believe me, it is therapeutic! )
- Learn something new. Every month Learn a new skill. This will help you to regain your self confidence and you will always have something on your mind that you can be proud of.
- Have difficulty organizing yourself? Take a paper and pen and jot down few things on your mind. Make use of your alone ‘me time’. This will get most of your queries resolved.
This phenomenon of spending ‘me time’ is so energising that if you are not getting it, you will start snapping others quickly, little things would disturb you and soon you will become the cross faced granny.
Being irresponsible with your time and complaining about everything vigorously can never change your world positively. Start from today and have your ‘ME TIME’!
